Story (spoiler free):-
Nikhil (Vijay Deverakonda) is a video game freak and he can spend a lot of time in completing the game he got. It gives him his enjoyment. He also spend a lot of time in chatrooms to find girls as it is very common in young age to attract to girls. Raagamaalika aka Rags (Shivani Singh) is a video game designer, who aspires to design a very different game without any violence or something like that. But her employers discourage her in the name of commercial feasibility. She designs a game with city in the back drop and challenges Nikhil to complete the game. Nikhil accepts it and goes on his first level of game to find Rags in the city by evening. When they both start the game, a gang who traps girls online in the name of love and sells them to foreigners comes as roadblock. How Nikhil complete the challenge despite these hurdles is the actual story.
Ye Manthram Vesave is a game between a creator of game and an addict of video games and how some external forces create problems to their challenge in the game. When seen as a single line, story of the movie looks different and new but a bad screenplay and amateur execution made it a non-worthy watch. Sridhar Marri could have done a better work to make this movie work. Vijay Deverakonda is well aware of the movie’s result and it’s content. Maybe it’s the reason why he stayed away from its promotions. Makers are in a clear cut aim to cash in the craze and buzz of Arjun Reddy but it doesn’t serve any good to them for the bad movie. Bad screenplay, bad casting, amateurish direction and outdated concepts like chat rooms make it a worse watch. Though this movie has some resemblances with Murder 2, they both vary in terms of content they offer. To sum up, Ye Manthram Vesave is a badly executed film and a patience tester.
